So been from Kildare I think the National Stud is just one of the most magical places you can visit. I remember going on my first communion just to get pictures taking there.
So with the recent sunshine I had to take the opportunity and bring Oliver over to see it.
The Japanese Garndens was very limited to where you could go with the buggy but it was still a beautiful picture in the sunshine. I’m not a big plant enthusiast, like I’m the biggest plant killer there is and I wouldn’t know the difference between the different kind of plants. But they are very pretty to look at.

Then we were finished in the gardens we went around the stud. As you leave the gardens you are met with a beautiful lake and right around the other side of the lake is the museum.

It’s very interesting to read all the old articles in there and defiantly a must for any horse enthusiast.

As the sun beated down we went around some of the stables and paddocks. Oliver was so excited to see all the horses up close.

After that we took a stroll down around the second lake, and I loved the little touch of adding the Irish Fairy doors around.

We spent a good hour and a half walking around and taking in the scenery.
It’s defiently a place to visit and tick it off your bucket list. They keep the place so clean and tidy and they have a beautiful playground that’s suited to older kids.
And kids under 5 go FREE. If you want to know prices and opening times check out http://www.irishnationalstud.ie
