So when I found out I was pregnant I had so many people tell me get this, get that, do this, do that. It was so confusing! I honestly didn’t know what the difference was between a body suit and a babygro was. How to change a nappy or feed a baby. So I done alot of research on different things and two items stuck out to me straight away. The Chicco next 2 me and also the sleepyhead.
What I liked about the idea of the sleepyhead is that it’s safe and comfy spot that lets baby sleep, rest, co-sleep, lounge, play, cuddle, do tummy time. I was able to bring it down stairs with me during the day so Oliver could nap easily as he hates his bassinet. It also fits perfectly into the Chicco Next 2 Me co-sleeper. I also found it just kept him so snug so he always slept great in it (THEY NEED TO BRING OUT ADULT VERSIONS). And of course there was times he just wanted to be next to me even though he was in the co sleeper beside me, So the sleepyhead was perfect to put on the bed beside me while we both just relaxed. He’s now 6 and a half months old and has now decided he likes to stretch and have his space so he is not in the sleepyhead any more but I will definetly say it was money well spent and if I am blessed to have another child in years to come I will definetly purchase again!
Another thing people will be at you when you have a baby is
“when are you doing your nursery.? ”
“What’s your theme?”
“Moses basket or cot?”
“Breast or Bottle?”
“Natural or Section?”
“What baby bag are you going to use?”
“What nappys?” – well Suzanne next door said you should stock up now while they are on offer… Well let me tell Suzanne for the last 6 months they have been on offer because they are all competing against each other so I think we are graaaannnd.
Oh I could go on and on but that’s another post for another day so back to the Chicco Next 2 Me.
This I new from the minute I seen it online I wanted it! It lasts the baby for months, you can let the side down and attach it to your bed for safe co-sleeping or you can have the side up and still see your little one through the netting on the side. Oliver also suffered really bad from reflux from day 1 but which the Chicco you can have it safely slightly reclined which does help somewhat with reflux combined with his formula change he was a much happier baby. He is still in it now and still beside my bed but with the side up and he does try shimmy his way into my bed now.
I purchased 99% of my stuff from Bella Baby . They were so amazing from day one and so helpful! Especially the team in Maynooth they were a dream to deal with. Especially when I rang in a panic saying I’m in hospital looks like I will have my baby early. They sorted everything in a flash and I can’t thank them enough.
